Sonic sound at Sail Rock

 

New Zealand-based Swiss/Kiwi singer-songwriter/loop artist, Andre Manellat, as a full-time musician, has toured New Zealand extensively, playing renowned festivals such as the Taranki International Arts Festival, New Plymouth Festival of Lights, and supporting major New Zealand bands  like Fly My Pretties and Trinity Roots which gives notice of his wide range of musical ability.

As Sonic Delusion he will be in Mangawhai to entertain at Sail Rock Café on Saturday May 3 with a load of bluesy ballads presented in rich American folk style.

The looping technique allows Sonic Delusion to add and subtract voice, bass lines, rhythm and tones to their songs. They swell with layers, they rush with rhythm, and they build back up again creating an array of guitar effects and an atmospheric sensation with a difference.
Andre’s debut album was met with critical praise and he is back on tour together with his band to promote his new album Open Your Eyes.
