Fun for all at Beach Day Mangawhai’s famous annual Beach Day again saw fantastic weather and a shoreline full of families enjoying a schedule of fun and games that included egg throwing, a sand sculpture competition, the Mr & Miss Mangawhai contest, Big Dig treasure hunt, and a popular BBQ.
Held under the watchful eye of patrolling lifeguards, the Head Rock swim started early due to an advertising error, so a second swim was held with some competitors completing the swim twice. The overall winner and first in the men’s section was Jake Wallwork
and first female was Hannah Williams, second overall.
