Pig hunt is serious funThe second annual Boar Hunt fundraiser for the Point Curtis Cruising Club August 10-11 attracted sponsorship of almost $6,000 in prizes and product, and over one hundred adult entries, well up on last year. While the tough guys went pig hunting, the kids were chasing good prizes for the biggest eel, snapper and possum. Kids had free entry and though no records were kept, this would have swelled numbers considerably as did the snapper contest which was a new addition to the format. de
dicated pig hunter himself, was too busy to get amongst them on the day, but was rewarded by the success of the competition.
Plenty of food, beverages and music at Three Furlongs Hotel was a fitting finale to a big weekend.
