Wood Street pumping againAfter an absence of over four months petrol is flowing again in Wood St, Mangawhai Heads.
The Mobil outlet has recently been taken over by Aucklander Surinder Dhaman and is being managed by husband and wife team Nitin Mehra and Reenu Arora who, with an 8-month-old baby, are keen to integrate into the community when time permits.
While looking forward to all the advantages that summer in Mangawhai can bring, the couple are also realistic about the long hours they will be putting in to serve the large number of visitors who frequent the area during those months.
As well as new pumps, the front shop area has also been remodelled and will stock regular auto needs plus some essentials, convenience foods and refreshments for travellers and locals who may get caught out by normal local shop hours.
Winter hours will be 7am to 6.30pm but summer hours will extend from 6am to 10pm which should suit early workers or visitors arriving later from the City.
GOT GAS: Co-manager Reenu Arora says it’s business as usual at the Mobil service station.
