Joe Cocker brought to life at TavernCol Jones always delivers a polished performance and his Joe Cocker Tribute is no exception. He has the look to match the sound.
Originally from London, Col was around in the heyday of the pub rock scene which gave birth to such influential artists as Dr Feelgood, Dire Straits, Ian Drury and the Blockheads, and Micky Jupp’s Legend. Col has either appeared on the same bill or played with some of these artists around various venues in the UK, starting his musical career as a drummer but also appearing as front man and singer for various bands of his own. His knowledge of musical styles and trends is peerless and can be relied on to perform songs from most of the decades. His love is blues, early swing and jazz but he is also capable of performing more contemporary artists on request and, backed by his group Guilty, his renditions of Unchain My Heart, With A Little Help From My Friends, and You Are So Beautiful are not to be missed.
