It’s been a mission but Liz Hutchin is not one to complain, believ-ing you just have to “roll up your sleeves and get on with it.”

Getting on with it meant selling a business in Silverdale, starting an-other, and finding and moving to a new home in Mangawhai, all within a month.

Old-style milk bar, Dizzy Lizzy’s, has opened its bright new doors to serve Mangawhai and visitors with a fabulous range of delectable and refreshing home-made gelato, novelty ice cream delights, original Ameri-can hot dogs and a whole lot more.

Liz, chef Hannah Patterson and a full team will be happy to meet and greet allcomers with large thickshakes, banana splits, sundaes in waffle cones and real Americal-style burgers and curly fries.

Look out for the pink and white sign, listen for the music and drop in to see what this new Wood St shop has to offer – even Chupa Chups, that little lollipop on a stick, which few realise were actually a product of the 1950’s.

Open daily this is a great meeting place and family refreshment stop.
