Local cubs and scouts busyA big thank you to the Maungaturoto Rotary Club who granted us $500 for new tents, we appreciate the support!
Thank you also to everyone who placed an order with our books fundraiser. The books have just arrived and will be delivered to your home by a scout shortly. The cubs and scouts have been busy gathering sheep manure and will now sell it as a fundraiser for their troop. This stuff is magic for your garden! To purchase a sack of dry sheep manure please contact either Carol Mills on 431 2044 or Steve Strong on 431 4806. Just $7 a sack. We were thrilled to hear that our scouts troop is going to be one of the recipients of funds raised from the Mangawhai Golf Club fundraising day to be held on Friday January 17. Many thanks to Mike Howard for his support. Entry fee is $65 and there will be a great prize table and auction. To enter email Mike on mike@mediathink.co.nz. Wanted: more leaders for our scouts and cubs troops. Have heaps of fun with the children in our fabulous new den at Hakaru, Thursdays 5.30–7.30pm.
