It’s that time of the year again, and Santa and Mrs Claus are waiting to hear from Kiwi kids. Santa was in touch with New Zealand Post this week and is inviting children around New Zealand to write and tell him their special Christmas wishes, including any presents they hope to receive. Fire brigade fundraiser The Mangawhai Singers are once again performing for the community at the new museum for Christmas with a selection of songs and carols for the whole family, and this year the fire brigade boys will be taking donations on the night for their fundraising. Northland DHB appointments announced Health Minister Tony Ryall has announced the appointed members of the Northland District Health Board (DHB). Each DHB board consists of up to 11 members. There are seven elected members, and up to four appointed members of each DHB. The appointed members of the Northland DHB for the term beginning 9 December 2013 are: Tony Norman (reappointed), Greg Gent (reappointed), June McCabe (reappointed) and Sharon Shea, who is reappointed. Tony Norman has been reappointed chair and Sally Macauley, an elected member, has been reappointed as deputy chair. |
