Ladies ‘Man Up’ At Annual Fishing Comp
The Mangawhai Boating and Fishing Club’s Annual Ladies Day Competition, held on Saturday January 19, saw some surprising results. In near-perfect conditions, more than 20 ladies fished for a variety of species with the overall feedback being it was a great day had by all. The ‘men’ of the club not only skippered for their ladies, they also cooked a slap-up meal of fresh fish (thanks Buck!) and chips cooked to perfection following the weigh-in and prizegiving.
