Real live act for the Tavern

You’ll have heard the saying ‘all saddle and no horse’. Well, this entertainer has it all, including the horse – literally – on stage Valentines Day.

The Rhymestone Cowboy is bringing his unique act to town for a dress-up Country & Western night so hop along for some real boot-scootin’ action.

From first hearing the Jurassic Five LP at the age of 12, the love of hip-hop and art of rapping has never left Daniel Urquhart. Growing up in southern hill country The Rhymestone Cowboy has two callings in life, hip-hop and horses. Having never spent much time with horses, he surprised everyone and himself when he was riding an unbroken horse within three days.

From trekking horses from Arthurs Pass to Wanaka, Ashburton Bachelor of the Year, starring in 20/20 documentaries, performing to large rodeo crowds, and a New Zealand country life farming, hunting and fishing, The Rhymestone Cowboy is every bit the real deal when he rides into your town. 

With an album made by Andy Lynch and Matt Short from The Feelers, and half of New Zealand toured, The Rhymestone Cowboy has come a long way since his early days.

This professional live band delivers a top quality musical experience celebrating the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, the full show with special lighting effects bringing back the best in these amazing classic songs.
