Events final push for museum funds

Mangawhai Museum has a series of great opportunities over the next few months for everyone to enjoy and at the same time raise funds to help the museum open in the next six months.

Look out for these days:

* Saturday March 15th – a Monster Garage Sale. The museum volunteers will be happy to pick up any items you may have. Ring Sharyn on 4314838 or Roi on 4315105

* Friday March 28th at the Mangawhai Club, 5pm – another fabulous auction. There will be some more great items on offer. This is part of a Bayleys Two Day Bowls Tournament on the Friday and Saturday March 29th at The Club. Entries to Adam Booth (0274155752).

* Saturday April 19th – Easter Saturday. Our next Book Fair – an opportunity to stock up on winter reading!

The members of the Mangawhai Historical Society thank the Community for a terrific result from the recent One Day Book Fair, which raised another $6500 for the museum project.

Historical Society president Christine Bygrave said the interior of the museum is now being completed, with displays being worked on, and construction is progressing at pace. Chris Currie, Museum Designer, is guiding the work. Anyone who has skills in this area and would like to help out can contact Lyn on 021854678.
