Big birthday for tennis tournament

Players sweltered under a hot summer sun at the Kaiwaka tennis courts over Anniversary Weekend to compete in the 65th annual Otamatea Tennis Tournament.

Players and supporters took advantage of the free camping available and enjoyed a free BBQ and social on Saturday night as well as a great weekend of competitive tennis.

The friendly social atmosphere at Kaiwaka was one of the reasons players returned for the tournament every year.

Thanks goes to a keen group of organisers, kitchen helpers, BBQ caterers, bar staff and generous sponsors.
