Probus - Big turnout for Christmas lunch

What a wonderful way to spend Christmas lunch with all our Probus friends – about 40 in all – at Sail Rock. The weather was lovely and the food was beautiful. A big thank you to Margaret Fish for the lovely festive decorated venue and the use of her piano.

Lynda Wintle read three lovely Christmas poems, and Barry gave us three Christmas quizzes which were a lot of fun, winners getting chocolate Santas for prizes. During the day, 10 spot surprise gifts were also given out to our members.   

After Lunch we were entertained by Roger Clark, our soloist tenor who travelled all the way from Tauranga – accompanied on the piano by Barry. After this we all sang carols.

Margaret Fish advised all members that she was very happy to carry on in 2013 with a free muffin with  a paid cup of Coffee and a free wine if you have a full meal at the Restaurant.
