SeniorNet is holding an Open Day on Saturday February 8 from 10am-1pm at their learning centre, 1960 State Highway 1, Kaiwaka (right opposite The Cheese Shop) and is run by volunteers who are also over 50. Classes operate from February to November each year. For details about classes contact the course coordinator Tony Cox 431 2269. Workshops are run throughout the year that focus on computer matters of popular interest, along with group help sessions for iPad users. Membership is only $20 per annum and entitles members to generous discounts at Noel Leeming (regardless of whether the product is technology related or not). Computer Food (consumables for your computer) offers a 5% discount and free freight to SeniorNet members. Special offers are also available to members through other sponsors such as Suzuki and Freeview – details are provided in newsletters.
