Baker and Brown cruising at the Cove

 

Tony Baker is probably better known in surfing circles (see front page story) but is also a dab hand with the guitar.

Together with Scott Brown,who also plays with Waipu band Less the Harp they form a two-piece acoustic guitar duo The Aloha Corner playing a mixture of kiwi and popular alt rock, reggae and dub covers including the likes of The Black Seeds, Trinity Roots, Sublime and Tom Petty.

“We have been playing together for the past six months and starting to get some good momentum,” says Tony.

So if it’s some cruisy Sunday afternoon fun you’re looking for you’ll find them at The Cove Cafe, Waipu Cove, this Sunday, January 25, 5pm.
