Yulia We are very excited to announce that internationally renowned singer Yulia will be performing at the Kaiwaka Sports Complex! Russian-born singing sensation Yulia is a classical crossover artist, and performs a fusion of popular contemporary music genres and classical style. Her first album Into the West (2004) achieved quadruple platinum sales, spent four weeks at number one on the album charts and claimed two Tuis at the New Zealand Music Awards. In 2006 she became the first NZ recording artist to achieve two back to back number one hit albums when her second album, Montage, achieved double platinum sales. In 2010 Yulia won the European Song Competition Grand Prix and Best Nationwide Entertainment. The concert, Yulia & Friends, will also feature some of our local up-and-coming singers: Jasmine Sampson, Molly Curnow, Mercedes Von Dinklage, Tasha Perrett, Michelle Clark and Olly Knox. Tickets are only $10 adults and children free, so this is a fabulous opportunity to hear an internationally acclaimed performer in little ol' Kaiwaka!
