International students return homeJuly is often the month when many Rodney College international students (pictured) return home to their respective countries in the northern hemisphere and our new intake of students arrive. We say farewell to some of our German and Swiss students and say hello to our new students from Norway, France Switzerland, Japan, Chile and Germany. Rodney College has thoroughly enjoyed the experiences with our international students and have made lasting friendships. Some of our students have returned to see their new-made friends in their home countries, and one stu-dent is even attending school overseas with one of the students that was here with us last year. Rodney College wel-comes the diversity the students bring to our school and some of the talents these students bring are valued by their NZ peers in our sporting teams and cultural events. If anyone in our community would like to host any of these students please contact the college at (09) 423 6030 and talk to Pastoral Care Director Maria Northin. - Bronwyn Dempster |
