Kingsview residents prepared for emergency
Members of the Kingsview Residents Association in King Rd gathered at Lochiel Estate on May 25 and took delivery of a new AED (Automated External Defibrillator) generously donated for the good of the small community by Graeme Rutherford.
Graeme ownssections in Kingsview, lives in Auckland and also owns the very successful Wheels on Wairau in Glenfield. He could not be present at the meeting however the group is most grateful for his generosity. Also attending was local St John ambulance officer Kay Carey, who gave a presentation and CPR demonstration which provided an important link with the use of the AED. Those present were able to practise with the manikins provided and also ask questions about actions in emergencies. The unit is strategically located for easy access by members of the association.
