Great result for guide dog appealThis year marked the 10th anniversary of Bayleys sponsorship of the Blind Foundation Guide Dogs – a partnership that has so far generated over $2.5 million and funded the training of more than 120 puppies.
Bayleys staff from all over the country worked tirelessly to collect hundreds of items to be auctioned on Trade Me with the aim of raising as many funds as possible for breeding and training more life-changing guide dogs. All items were listed with just $1 reserve. The hundreds of awesome items up for grabs included accommodation and leisure packages, sports goods and memorabilia, event and entertainment passes, collectables, appliances, artwork, clothing, food and beverage vouchers and priceless celebrity experiences. The total raised this year was $207,000. Bayleys in the North raised $17,500 from the items that were donated placing them as the fourth largest contributor to the auction and ahead of some much bigger Bayleys businesses. |
