Semi-retirement the perfect remedyA long time Waipu identity is hanging up her hat: Pat Hunter of Pat's Healing Centre is semi-retiring.
Many locals – and others not so local – have benefited from her knowledge and healing over the years. Twenty-eight years of clinical experience has given Pat her extensive knowledge of the human body and the workings of animals of all descriptions, and she has been dispensing homeopathic and herbal remedies for both humans and animals for over 19 years from her clinic in the centre of Waipu. But while her clinic will be closing, Pat says she will continue to supply any ongoing medicines and supplements along with her various herbal creams, Rescue Remedy and homeopathic medicines such as Arnica. The website animalherbs.co.nz will continue. Pat is keen to treat dogs and cats in consultation with their owners in person or customers may wish to approach Pat through her web-site, by email, Skype or phone. Animal products will be available and may be delivered to homes or left at a drop-off spot in Waipu or even couriered as now, to outlying areas. The well-earned semi-retirement means Pat can pursue her interests in travel, trekking, gardening, Pilates and tennis. Pat also plans to start volunteering a day a week at Riding for the Disabled. In between all this she will enjoy longer beach walks with her dogs followed by coffee with friends in the village. She would like to acknowledge all the clients who have supported her through the years and she is confident that there will be some form of goodbye party at Pat’s Healing Centre towards the end of June where she can thank all her clients in person. |
