Snapshot: Birthday celebration

An idea by Grant Crowe and Barbara Jacomb to start a photography group with a difference has created wonderful friendships amongst its members.

Mangawhai Snappers Photography Group, whose motto is ‘Fun Then Photography’, celebrated their first birthday on Monday April 3 at the Mangawhai Fishing Club. A large turnout of shutterbugs enjoyed a cheese platter and birthday cake. Members reminisced over a very successful year with a slide show.

Plans are already in place for the group’s first photographic exhibition in August at the Mangawhai Artists Gallery.

“I am very excited about all the other activities planned for the coming year in and outside the fishing club,” said Grant.
