Winter sets pace in pool.jpg "rodney college swim champs(copy)") Rodney College senior girls swimming champion Winter Cotton has swum brilliantly this year, breaking the 50m backstroke record of 40.22 set in 1996 by J Coop with a new time of 40.04. Winter won the 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 100 freestyle at the Lower North champs and swam in the winning senior girls 4 x 25m relay. At Northland swimming she placed second in all her races: 50m backstroke, 50m and 100m freestyle and 50m breaststroke. Winter is also senior girls athletics champ.
