Winter sets pace in poolRodney College senior girls swimming champion Winter Cotton has swum brilliantly this year, breaking the 50m backstroke record of 40.22 set in 1996 by J Coop with a new time of 40.04. Winter won the 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 100 freestyle at the Lower North champs and swam in the winning senior girls 4 x 25m relay. At Northland swimming she placed second in all her races: 50m backstroke, 50m and 100m freestyle and 50m breaststroke. Winter is also senior girls athletics champ.
