19 venues promoting nearly 40 artistsWith the Art Trail just a few days away it is shap-ing up to be a great event say organisers who are pleased to have more venues this year than there has been for some time.
A variety of venues will display a variety of art and art styles, including studios and workshops where the artist can be seen at work. The Art Trail brings out several new artists and exhibitors, showing their work to the public for the first time. It is also the chance for established artists, like well-known local Sa-rah C, to show a new technique or style of art-work. Sarah has spent the summer experimenting with bright colourful ab-stract pieces. These have been reproduced onto corrugated iron and gloss panels suitable to hang in or outdoors. There’s something for everyone with 19 venues around Mangawhai rep-resenting over 40 artists. Participating small studi-os, galleries, gardens and homes will be marked with ArT signs. Art Trail maps are available from Sail rock Cafe, Mangawhai Infor-mation Centre, Man-gawhai Museum, or on-line at mangawhaiartists. co.nz. Mangawhai Art Trail, March 28 & 29, 10am to 5pm. |
