Easter Monday music and market

You’ve probably  met   Sharon McNabb. She’s the lady who sells the fresh bread and pickles at the regular  Saturday markets at Mangawhai  Village, and  this time   of  plentiful   and surplus fruit  and  vegetables  leads  to  a great  and  succulent   variety  of sauces and meal add-ons.

Sharon  had years of organising events and entertainment at Auckland’s Gluepot  pub.  However, on  Easter  Monday  she  is holding a market with a difference in the hall. As well as the usual stallholders  there will be some  new  attractions,  more fresh produce, even a worm farmer – very timely for those winter plantings – plus the cafe with mussel fritters, fish and chips, and hotdogs cooked while you wait.

Add to this the music of David Shanhun.

David is a very talented Auckland guitarist  and singer-song- writer, and for this event he will be mostly  playing  covers  and just good, easy-listening music that will appeal to all ages. His unique  combination  of intricate guitar playing and great vocal melodies is sure to capture your attention.

The  market   will  run   from 9am till 1-ish depending  on the crowd. If the weather’s not great David will play inside but hopefully those attending will be able to enjoy a pleasant autumn outing before the end of daylight saving.
