Juggling: getting in on the act

Research indicates that juggling increases  self-esteem, self-confidence and a greater level of co-ordination regardless of ability, gender or age. It is relaxing, focuses the mind and makes you feel great, connecting both halves of the human brain to increase production  of neuronal  cell bodies or create new connections- matrix in your brain, says Achmed Abman from Circool Circus.

Adults of any age can greatly benefit from learning how to juggle says tutor Achmed, who has been approached about classes in Kaiwaka, Mangawhai and Waipu. Enough interest  could  establish  a  new  adult class. The focus can be simple juggling (object manipulation) which anybody can do, or can expand into other circus skills.

Tailored as a short course of approximately eight weeks, you will learn the art of juggling balls, clubs, scarves  and  rings.  If interested, please get in touch with Circool Circus.

Currently children and youth classes are every Friday at the Coronation Hall, Waipu; 3.15-4.15pm primary (age 5-11), 4.30-5.30pm secondary (age 12-18).
