Home builders seek modern solutionsIn the face of a buoyant market, new building company Cavern Homes opened their showhome in Estuary Drive on February 21.
“As a new company we need to be seen and we need to show prospective house-hunters what we do and what they can expect through dealing with Cavern Homes,” says Cavern Homes principal Ken Dugdale. “Though it is a showhome, most features are part of our standard build but the major benefit is people can visualise how different things will look in situ or fit within their own plans or maybe even change their ideas to accommodate some new or different features.” At 206 sq m it’s an easy plan to navigate with three-plus double bedrooms. The fourth bedroom/office also has outside entry which best suits the privacy required for a home business situation. Feedback has been positive with comments centred around the wide, open and welcoming entry foyer, fully tiled contemporary bathroom and en-suite, and laser-activated skirting lights in the kitchen for night-time activity while not lighting up the whole house. Other standard features include under-floor heating and a central vacuum system. The ‘preferred customer’ liaison between Cavern Homes and supplier Mitre 10 Mega also means quality products and continuity of supply meaning a time and therefore monetary savings which are passed on to the customer. This home has also been entered for the Master Builders House of the Year 2015 awards to be judged later in the year so is well worth a visit from section owners or those in the planning stage for a new home. |
