Youth Scholarships awarded

Every year, the Otamatea Repertory Theatre presents a youth scholarship award to a deserving teenager.

Brittany Dyer of Kaiwaka, pictured, was the 2012 recipient and recently presented with a cheque for $250 to further her creativity by theatre president Peter Flower.

A junior award for primary school students – a term of free singing lessons – was awarded to Zoe Meehan of Maungaturoto. 

Both girls are consistent performers at ORT, each with a long list of credits.

Currently they are busy learning songs for the major musical, Seussical, which is to open in July.
