Body shop opens in WaipuThe term ‘body shop’ is better known in terms of classic car restoration, but this one has much wider connotations in appealing, predominantly, to the fairer sex.
Under the signage of Pure Essence, owner and clinician Alex Donald recently opened up her new salon in Waipu to reach a wider audience and expand her clientele. Alex has operated another clinic in Ruakaka for the last 16 years. “We have a great team with Deanna Suvalko and Sarah-Jane Harnett so can now operate both clinics,”says Alex. This beauty restaurant comes with a comprehensive ‘a la carte’ menu. Alex has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry with her favourite service being facials, a favourite for customers, combined with facial enhancements, eyebrow tinting and lash curling for a more natural look leading to looking good which also means feeling good. While facials, manicures and pedicures, along with hair treatments, are the ‘feel good’ recipe for ladies through the ages, Alex and her team at Pure Essence also include body exfoliations, massages, body wraps to nourish and re-hydrate, red vein treatment, electrolysis, and waxing. For busy Mums with little daytime hours to spare, get a group together and let Alex arrange a ‘Pamper Party’ at your place or have it in the clinic. Customers may choose just what they want or have the full grooming package using reliable products and also make-up hints and advice. “We offer several different packages to suit a customer’s budget,” Alex explains “or they can buy a voucher to use whenever it suits or as a great gift idea.” Pure Essence in Nova Scotia Drive, Waipu, has winter hours – open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday by appointment. Pure Essence in Ruakaka beach is open six days a week BRANCHING OUT: The Pure Essence team of (from left) Sarah-Jane Harnett, Alex Donald, and Deanna Suvalko. |
