New look eatery emergingThose who serve us so diligently throughout the year and especially the holiday period, are also entitled to a break when the silly season becomes more sedate. But the team at Sand Bar have still been working behind closed doors for the past fortnight on a little R & R (refresh and refurbish) ready to open again from this Wednesday. Says owner/chef An-drew Rennie: “It’s time for a bit of ‘spring ‘ clean-ing. We’re doing some refurb to liven up the café and give it a fresh look before moving into the cooler season when we will introduce a new lunch menu and some novel ‘winter warmers’ running on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights to make an easy dinner stop to warm up locals on cool evenings.” In refreshed sur-roundings these winter warmers will be just the ticket for after work or end of week meals when many get home after dark. It takes the pres-sure off plus offers a little light socialising. |
