Principles inspire new businessMany will have seen and sampled the Lemurian health and beauty products in the bright blue packaging gracing the shelves at Kakariki or purchased from the website, but few will have met the founder of the company that makes and markets the body mist, the deodorants and the shampoos.
“Good intention is the foundation of my work. I make my products to help people feel good. I offer healings to help people feel good. My reward is that you feel good,” Veda Austin says of her products and services. Matakana mum of three Veda has quite a story to tell about her OE which took her eventually to India and introduced her to a consciousness of the connection between magnetic forces that keep the world turning and the effect of the positive energy on humans as well. Later, her school-day fascination with classical studies became an essential element in pointing her to Lemurian Principles for life and health and gave rise to her establishing her own business. “It’s not magic and it’s not religion orientated,” says Veda. “I suggest to people that they leave their expectations at the door and just come in with an open mind. Everyone is unique and so too are their experiences and their needs for both physical and mental wellbeing.” It’s a fascinating journey and Veda is holding a presentation at Kakariki to introduce her product line and explain in more detail the format and benefits of Lemuria, her massage and therapy sessions, and invite the public to come, obligation-free, and judge for themselves. ■ Veda Austin, Kakariki Health Store, Bennetts Complex, Mangawhai.
