Conservation groups support new Te Arai development
Auckland Council hearings commissioners have approved the coastal development at Te Arai, near Mangawhai, and the hapu involved – Te Uri o Hau – will now formally offer to gift 172 hectares of coastal land to Auckland Council.

Kaipara District Council Commissioners have welcomed news that legislation aimed at fixing historical rating errors in the District is back before Parliament.
The Local Bill, which was sponsored by MP for Northland Mike Sabin, has now been considered by a Select Committee and was tabled in Parliament for its second reading on November 12.

Proposed Northland unitary authority. different light after their wedding on November 2 at the Cowshed restaurant, Mangawhai.

Worzels World - Following the money
“In so many ways our wealth is siphoned off and yet we are told we must pay global prices for goods produced by our friends and neighbours. Is this a good deal?”

Come all ye faithful
Waipu’s Crazy Christmas parade is like no other and it’s a whacky way to spend a fun-filled Christmas Eve.
Community groups, businesses, local farmers and contractors are all invited to enter a float. If you can’t manage that, just dress in your craziest gear – the crazier, the better – and be in to win.
New Waipu vet practice to offer best of both worlds
A dream becomes reality for four vets this week as their new vet clinic and rural store opens its doors.
