Feelers kick off big Tavern weekendThe Feelers announce a return to one of their favourite locations: The Mangawhai Tavern. Not that James Reid and Hamish Gee need any excuse to gig, except it has been a while!
For nearly 20 years their musical partnership has resulted in The Feelers amassing some remarkable statistics – a quarter of a million al-bum sales, five multi platinum albums, three number one albums, sev-en number one singles, 2086 gigs and 216,431km in a van! Their influences range from Bowie to Pixies to Cat Stevens. They have toured extensively around the country build-ing a solid and loyal following and now they’re home again in Mangawhai. Join them for a massive night of rock where the classics will get smashed and who knows, new songs may be aired. The Feelers are set to announce a number of special guests with popu-lar local act Soljah as sup-porting act. The Feelers, Man-gawhai Tavern, Satur-day October 25, 7.30pm– 11.30pm, R18 $40. Top Elton John and Billy Joel tribute Graham Nash is a musician with 25 years experience performing in the UK, Europe and Amer-ica, playing with and for some of the biggest names in the business at venues like the Hilton Hotel and Wembley Stadium. The talented impersonator delivers an incredible twosome as two of music’s most famous from rock to ballads and back again with a three hour show of six songs as Billy Joel then, as the Elton John experience, performs for over two hours. The Elton Experience is a complete show with an array of fantastic costumes combined with a dazzling computerised light and, of course, the music that has made this performer a household name worldwide. Songs include Blue Eyes, Candle in the wind, Crocodile Rock, Daniel, I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues, I’m Still Standing, Nikita, Rocketman, Sad Songs, Song For Guy, and many more.
