Donated heat pump answers prayersWarm kids are happy kids at Otamatea Christian School after being gifted a new heat pump.
Heating the large open-plan classroom, as well as the older uninsulated class-rooms, at Otamatea Christian School has always been a problem. The roll of 37 year one to 13 students have a Bible-based curriculum, but with-out government funding, and a tight budget, it was unlikely funds would ever be available to deal with the cold classroom. However, through an association with Polar Heat Pumps the school felt blessed when told Fujitsu NZ would donate a heat pump system to the school. The donation included installation materials, labour, travel and electrical connection at no charge. Staff and students say say the heat pump has already made a hugely positive difference to the class environment. Principal Lynette Bell says their faith has been completely vindicated and the whole school is extremely grateful to both Polar Heat Pumps and Fujitsu for their contribution. |
