Tiki Taane follows metal roadshowRoosters Roadshow again hits the Man-gawhai Tavern on Saturday October 11.
This travelling Kiwi music spectacular brings five groups together for a night of metal and may-hem headed by Team Kill – more than just your typical Kiwi metal band – and His Master’s Voice. Known as ‘blues rock-ers’ these guys are guaranteed to produce a powerhouse performance that smashes down the walls between metal and blues and wins over audiences of all ages. Add on Remote and Leave the Dead and you have a night full of sound you’ll remember for a long time. The whole shebang is rounded off and complimented by Craig Radford, ex Sticky Filth founder and bassist. He still cherishes music and the role it plays in his life. “Music is the vehicle for so many things; art, poetry, friendships. It brings people together with a common interest,” he says. The following week Tiki Taane hits town. Former member of leading New Zealand band Salmonella Dub, he left in 2007 to pursue a solo career. His debut album Past, Present, Future was released later that year and has gone two times platinum, achiev-ing the number one sin-gle Always On My Mind, which is the most suc-cessful single of all time in New Zealand. Taane is also the live sound engineer for top Kiwi act Shapeshifter, and perhaps one of the most acclaimed mu-sicians in the country doubling at times as an award-winning audio engineer. His is a household voice and one that will fill the building. Book early, don't miss out. |
