Mangawhai growth sees new real estate firmFor a small town like Mangawhai, another real estate agency might seem a little over the top, but confidence in a growing area sums up the attitude of Colin Foster and Conny Lauterbach, partners in newly opened Colony Realty.
The office is located on the Corner of Wood Street and Fagan Place at the Heads shops. This is Mangawhai’s first own brand agency after all. Conny carries a Diploma in Real Estate and previous experience working for a housing company, and the couple believe their knowledge and expertise will stand them in good stead in providing advice and service for both potential buyers and sellers in Mangawhai and the surrounding areas. Agent Conny has experience in Warkworth, Wellsford and the wider Mangawhai area, so has seen the movement north at first hand. She believes that, while there appears to be a shortage of sale properties at the moment, there is a lot of building activity happening in the area. To add to this there are more subdivisions in the pipeline so she is confident there will be another wave of active buyers and sellers heading into summer. “I believe I have the ability to assess how pockets of land may be subdivided and what kind of properties could be available in the future plus the population growth must also impact on the business sector. Mangawhai will continue to grow and expand,” she says. Off-peak numbers of travellers and visitors are growing each year. Many know very little about Mangawhai until they visit here but when they see what’s on offer compared to the city many are happy to change their lifestyle to be here, some only casually but with a view to becoming permanent residents later. “There is a diversity of different aspects to real estate here and being locals we naturally want to be part of it,” Conny adds. And the distinctive Colony Realty car will be hard to miss! INDEPENDENT: Colony Realty’s Conny Lauterbach and Colin Foster. |
