Dire Straits Tribute will take you back

The sounds of legendary British rock band, Dire Straits, will hit the Mangawhai Tavern on Saturday October 12.

The tribute show will feature Kerry Adams up front (pictured) leading his full professional band, with his trade-mark Dylan influenced vocals, seductive guitar playing and dark thoughtful songs that will leave you in awe.

Formed in 1977, the real Dire Straits has sold over 120 million albums and won numerous awards before disbanding for good in 1995.

The first part of the tribute show will feature early Dire Straits with songs Down to The Waterline, Six Blade Knife, Once Upon a Time in the West, Lady Writer, Water of Love, Wild West End, In the Gallery, and Sultans of Swing.

The second part of the show features later more commercial hits such as Twisting By The Pool, Tunnel of Love, Money For Nothing, Walk of Life, So Far Away, Brothers in Arms and many more classics, making for an authentic thoroughly dynamic and exciting show.
