Enjoy a night of glitz and glamour

 

All the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas is coming as New Zealand's most popular award-winning cabaret show is coming to the Hakaru RSA.

Puttin' On The Ritz featuring Debbie Dorday and Jim Joll is set to wow locals with over 50 costume changes in the fastest moving funniest variety show you will ever see.

The show has something for everybody: stand-up comedy, comedy songs, feathers, glamour, rock and roll, and the latest hits to keep your feet tapping and hands clapping.

From the Ada Foster Stage School in London and later the Mou-lin Rouge company in Paris, Dorday returned to New Zealand in the 1970s performing at Auckland cabaret Annabelle’s.

With help from investors, an old cinema in Parnell was refurbished and became Burgundy’s of Parnell – a popular cabaret club. Debbie became well known for television commercials featuring the tagline “See you at Burgundy’s!”

Her love of cabaret has never waned and, together with fellow art-ist Jim Joll presents a sparkling night of light-hearted entertainment seldom seen locally.

You do not have to be a RSA member to attend the show, so get a group together and come enjoy a fun night. Don't miss this award-winning variety show!
