Generosity builds pathway
The childrens area at the Mangawhai Activity Zone (MAZ) playground took another small step towards completion last week with the laying of a ‘snake pathway’.
The embedded pebble path is a great addition and encompasses the activity area allowing easy walking for mums with strollers while keeping an eye on toddlers on trikes and scooters who can ride the path without effort or obstruction. It is a facility bound to be well used over the holiday period. Concrete teams headed by Craig Jepson and Billy Aspden laid the 25 cubic metres of concrete valued at $8200 which was generously donated by Golden Bay Cement, Wharehine, Winstone Aggregates and Fletcher Building Ltd – a great demonstration of a community working together. |
