Our tennis club is pleased to offer coaching with John White Mondays 4-5pm at the KSA courts for all school age children. After a break for the holidays, we will begin again February 10. It would be great to see the club grow and players develop with skilled guidance. Inquiries to Lindell Ferguson 431 2542 (evenings). Otamatea Tennis Tournament Our annual tennis tournament will be held at our courts over Anniversary Weekend. This tournament attracts top quality players from Northland and Auckland and we also have places for locals to compete. So dust off that racquet and get in some practice! Badminton It's been great to see an increase in numbers turning up for our badminton club nights. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome. Simply turn up to the gymnasium on Tuesdays from 7.30pm. Only $3 per person, play as long as you like, please wear soft soled shoes. Club racquets are available to borrow at no cost. High interest means the club has now started up a second session Saturday's 3–5pm. For enquiries please phone Steve Campbell on 431 2779. Fitness Centre Our Fitness Centre is available 24/7 and provides extensive exercise equipment as well as toilets, showers and a sunbed. The Centre now offers a 6-monthly sub for $85. hangeover months are November and May. Memberships and a key can be purchased from Jaques Four Square. Fitness Centre president Julie Harris can provide a structured fitness programme for individuals or groups. If you have a boy in these age ranges, ring Brett Coates on 021 431 872. There will be an IMB meeting at the Maungaturoto Country Club January 23, 7.30pm for all parents, and the date for the muster has been set at February 8, 10am at the same venue. Touch Thank you to everyone who came along to the Touch Rally Day. If you couldn't make it to the Rally Day but would like to play in the Touch Module just contact me (details below) or email Bridgette Sampson on b.sampson@xtra.co.nz. The module will be a friendly, social tournament for mixed teams of men, women and teenagers and will be played at the Kaiwaka Sports Complex on Sundays at 12.30pm from February 2 til March 30. Top of the Rock Planning is well underway for our multi-sport challenge the Top of the Rock, to be held on Sunday February 9. With two 'earlybird' prizes draws on offer, now is a good time to get your entry in – time rolls round pretty quickly at this time of year!
