Truck driver killed in Kaiwaka crash

A man has died after his truck allegedly collided with another stationary truck around 6am, Tuesday May 7, just south of Kaiwaka’s Caltex petrol station, before going down a steep bank on the west side of the road. The deceased was the sole occupant of the truck and no one else was injured at the scene.

Emergency services are currently in attendance at the scene including the Serious Crash Unit who will conduct an investigation into the incident.

Traffic is expected to be delayed until the afternoon with a crane required to lift the truck from the embankment. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
